Dear Chris and Family,
I read of the passing of your mom last month; I am so very sorry. I remember both your parents oh so well. The memories from our high school days and the time I spent at your home are all returning. Someone here mentioned your mom's belly dancing, her great food, and card night (?)...I remember those as well along with her crafting and some mothering shown towards me. Your parents were a bit younger and a bit more hip than my own parents so I found that so fascinating and at times another set of ears to what I had to say. Your mom and dad were always so gracious to me. I truly learned a lot from them, wish I had seen them before they passed as well. Yet I can look fondly on those days at your childhood home. It's amazing who plays a part in forming who we are and both your parents played that role in my life. So, I thank them, whereever they may be now, together and your beautiful family. Much love to you all from Los Angeles. Holding your family in love & prayer. Stay safe & well. With much warmth, Michele Marlene York

Chris, Laura, and families, you have to know how much I loved your mama. We met when we were five years old and we shared so darn much. Wonderful memories when she met your Dad, we were seniors in high school. He was in the Coast Guard and such a nice man. I loved him also because of the way he loved your mom. Even when I moved to Colorado we snuck in a cup of coffee and a hug when I went back to the UP to visit. When I moved back to the UP permanently we went on a trip to Vegas, laughing like teenagers again. We hit a few casinos and I had a little convertible sports car at that time and we played Thelma and Louise. She taught me how to cook and even bought me the right pans to use. I have missed her for a very long time. She meant so much to me and I have never been able to have the same kind of friendship with anyone else. RIP My forever friend.

Laura, Christopher, and family - I'm sorry to hear of your mom's passing. When Jim and I were married, we spent quite a bit of time at your house with your mom and dad. We were there for meals (your mom was such a good cook) and Saturday night cards. We always had such a good time and I enjoyed both of them so much. Your mom always made me feel so welcome. She showed me about belly dancing and I went on to take a class because of her. I haven't seen her for years but never forgot about her. I know she'll be missed.
